Presidents of two multinational record conglomerates and one leading independent distributor will be featured guests at the National Association of Record Industry Professionals (NARIP) kick-off event in New York on Tuesday, October 26th.

The most important topic facing the record industry is digital distribution. Now, in an exciting New York debut, NARIP (National Association of Record Industry Professionals) presents a program entitled "A View from the Top: Record Distribution in the Digital Age."
The October 26 event will feature Universal Music & Video Distribution President JIM URIE, WEA Corp. President JOHN ESPOSITO and Ryko Distribution President JIM CUOMO.
The three presidents will address the following:
* Challenges facing conventional distribution, digital distribution and retail
* The impact of increased market concentration
* Digital piracy
* Conflicts between distribution and retail
* The foreseeable future for distribution, retail and for the record industry as a whole
* Artist development for new and developing acts
* Distributor economics
* International distribution
* Strategic planning, and more.
