European Fashion Designer gets kicked out of Chat-Room for writing anti-Bush Letter |

( EMAILWIRE.COM, October 28, 2004 ) Dallas, TX -- European Fashion Designer Christa Allen joined a chat room where the subject was about “Lying and Liars”. Allen mentioned the ‘Importunate Open Letter to the Inept Bush Administration’ she wrote and unleashed a several days lasting furor, pro and con Bush. About 85% of the responses were extremely supportive, many individuals professed to actually having read the letter Allen said. Later the chat-room administrator wrote Allen a note saying: “based on our standards, your post was removed to avoid disruption to the board discussions”. “After that my address was blocked from participating in the chats” said Allen.
Although Allen had not used any imprecations, comments from the pro-Bush side, many of whom were spiked with profanity apparently were welcome and did not seem to offend the administrator or the “good taste committee!”
Allen explains: “I am completely in awe that so far I’ve received over one thousand (!) replies from all over the Globe! Some of these responses were incredibly heartbreaking, including many from individuals who have lost/injured loved ones in the war and/or who knew of someone who had.
Many people responding with: “I thank you for the courage to write such a profound letter without fearing retaliation from those who disagree.” And, one emotion most often expressed was: “if we had more people as passionate as you in 2000, Bush would never have had a chance to ruin America and kill so may people by sitting in Al Gore’s office today.”
One elderly gentleman in his late eighties tugged at my heartstrings when he wrote: “I am so glad someone else sees these things in Mr. Bush that causes me so much anguish.” “How this man can claim to believe in God really makes me very angry, especially since his actions do not show he cares at all….”
Said Allen: I see the comment, “if Bush steals another election, God help us all” often. The media was not spared, I see in the letters: “too bad the mass-media is seemingly scared to publish your letter; I wished they (media) had as much backbone as you, America would be in better shape.”
Many opinions from abroad were: “we just can’t grasp as to why the American public still would even want Mr. Bush as their “leader”, when they see in their own living rooms daily what a mess that never elected incompetent evil man and his partner made of your nation!”
